{"id":3882,"date":"2023-01-26T18:38:03","date_gmt":"2023-01-26T17:38:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bifelab.com\/?p=3882"},"modified":"2023-05-23T21:58:50","modified_gmt":"2023-05-23T19:58:50","slug":"efic-2023-conference-call-for-papers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bifelab.com\/en\/efic-2023-conference-call-for-papers\/","title":{"rendered":"EFiC 2023 Conference \u2013 Call for papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The Essex Finance Centre (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.essex.ac.uk\/centres-and-institutes\/finance\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.essex.ac.uk\/centres-and-institutes\/finance&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1674730874745000&amp;usg=AOvVaw104ECQ2_tvf8kgEu8VdKkr\">EFiC<\/a>) at Essex Business School and the Laboratory of Bank, Business, Finance and Ethics (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bifelab.com\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.bifelab.com&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1674730874745000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0egYHd_Y_YkntQdDgUcKYi\">BifeLab<\/a>) are jointly organising the seventh edition of the EFiC Conference in Banking and Corporate Finance that will take place in person on 6-7 July 2023 in Gaeta, Italy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The objective of the Conference is to bring together leading academics, practitioners and policymakers and give them the opportunity to present state-of-the-art research in the broad areas of banking and corporate finance.<br \/>\nThe Conference will feature a keynote speech and a \u2018Meet the Editors\u2019 session. It will also include a dedicated PhD session to give research students the opportunity to present their work and receive developmental feedback from expert PhD mentors.<br \/>\nWe solicit papers in the following areas, in alphabetic order, but other related areas may also be considered:<br \/>\n\u2022 Alternative finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Entrepreneurial finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Banking and financial services<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Fintech and financial innovation<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Behavioural finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Green finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Big data applied to banking and finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 International finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Corporate finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Monetary policy and central banking<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Corporate governance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Political economy of central banking<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Digital finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Portfolio and risk management<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Diversity and women in finance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Rethinking of financial regulation and supervision<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Financial crisis and resolution<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 SMEs financing<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">This year\u2019s keynote speaker is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stern.nyu.edu\/faculty\/bio\/viral-acharya\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.stern.nyu.edu\/faculty\/bio\/viral-acharya&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1674730874745000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2Pqo1psSKMB8Nrdu2DuRPi\">Professor Viral V. Acharya<\/a>\u00a0(New York University Stern School of Business).\u00a0The Conference will also feature a special \u201cMeet the Editors\u201d session and a dedicated PhD session.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Special issues<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The Conference will include special issues with the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development (JSBED), Research in International Business and Finance (RIBAF), and the Review of Corporate Finance (RCF).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The special issue of the JSBED will be themed &#8220;Digital Entrepreneurial Finance and New Approaches to Venture Financing&#8221;. The special issue of RIBAF will be themed \u201cAccess to Finance and Fintech\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The special issue of the RCF will be themed \u201cInternational Corporate Finance and Governance\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Participation in the Conference will not be mandatory for submissions to the special issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Organising Committee, in liaison with the Editor-in-chief of Bancaria, the scientific Journal of the Italian Banking Association, will select high quality papers from the Conference to be considered for a special Fast Track.
